I have loved story and animation my whole life. I knew before I started college that animation was my passion, and that I had an abiding fascination with animals and creatures.
My career goal is to become a Creature Animator at a world-class game studio, particularly Quadrapeds.
I am a lifelong gamer, and an avid player of Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Stardew Valley, Civilization V, Minecraft, Assassin's Creed, Monster Hunter, Silent Hill, and Halo I-IV and Halo Reach, especially Halo III and Reach.
I graduated from DigiPen Institute of Technology in 2019 with a BFA in Production Art & Animation. I was older than the average student, having already earned a Media Arts AA degree, while also working for 2 years as a contract Animator/Video Editor at Big Learning Machine, an educational company.
At DigiPen, my goal was to get as much experience as possible:
-
Worked on 2 2D game teams, as Animator and Character Concept Artist
-
Worked on 4 3D game teams, as Animator, Rigger, Character Modeler
-
Animated traditionally, in Spine 2D Skeletal Animation for Games, and in 3D using Maya
-
Worked on a 3D animated student film, as well, as a part-time Animator
-
Worked a near-record number of TA (Teacher's Assistant) positions
-
Became especially interested in quadrapedal animation
-
Discovered that my love for animation is ever-deepening and life-long
I was in heavy demand as a Teacher's Assistant, including:
-
Art Fundamentals II (Moody)
-
Character Design (Kmiec)
-
Gesture Drawing for Animation (Mathues, De Fado)
-
Intro to 3D Animation (Bishop)
-
Digital Sculpture (Briley)
-
Intermediate 3D Animation (Kaufman)
-
2D Game Projects Class, Custom Engine & Pipeline) (Brunner)
I am now looking for an Animation position, contract or staff, fulltime or part-time. I love the Northwest and Southwest U.S., but am happy to relocate.
